Understand the result

Method & assumptions

Capacity = people × scheduled hours × productive utilization. Required hours = demand units × hours per unit. Additional people = ceiling(positive gap ÷ productive hours per person).

Hypothetical worked example

10 × 40 × 75% = 300 productive hours; 360 hours of demand creates a 60-hour gap and a two-person scenario.

Scope and limitations

  • User-entered planning assumptions, not verified market data or a professional determination.
  • Utilization already includes leave and nonproductive time. Do not deduct them again. Different role bottlenecks do not cancel.
